Happy New Year Everybody!

I hope everyone had a great break.  School resumes this Thursday,  January 6th. Like everyone else, I was certainly hoping that we would be well beyond all of the Covid Protocol, but it appears we still have to deal with it for a bit longer.  I am linking the new guidance from the Douglas County Health Department in regards to K-12 Schools.  The biggest change is the reduction of isolation time when an individual tests positive.  Time away for students/staff has changed from 10 days to 5 days as long as the individual is asymptomatic or symptoms have greatly improved and there is no fever for 24 hours.  If your child has symptoms of Covid, please have them testes prior to coming to school.  I worry that this spike in cases across the Omaha area may be a challenge for us should teachers/staff come down with the virus.  I promise you that we will do our best to keep school open and classroom instruction continuing with minimal disruptions. Happy and Healthy 2022 to everyone.
