Last Week of Vacation

It’s hard to believe that it’s the last full week of vacation for students. We are super busy getting everything ready for the start of the school year on August 18th. Please remember that August 18th and August 19th are Noon dismissal times, and we will not be serving lunch. The extended care program will begin on Monday, August 23rd. Our hot lunch program will begin on Friday, August 20th. I have already seen many of you today as you come up to pick up your tuition packets for the school year. We are open for business until 6:00 pm today. You will need to make arrangements with Mrs. Vorland if you cannot attend today. Our expectation is to have all packets picked up before the start of the school year. Teachers officially return on Wednesday, August 11th. Remember that you can participate in a Free Pancake Breakfast, hosted by the Knights this Sunday after the 8:00 and 10:30 masses this Sunday, August 15th. Teachers will have their classrooms open for you to drop off items from Noon until 1:00 pm on August 15th.

Finally, after a lot of discussion with other principals and pastors, Saint Joan of Arc will start the school year with everyone wearing masks while inside the building. This includes students and staff regardless of whether or not they have been vaccinated for Covid-19. Masks will be optional when outdoors. This is the same protocol that the Dual Language Academy will be following. The requirement of mask wearing will be reviewed in October to determine if we should continue with masking. Thank you for your continued support and we begin the 2021-2022 school year. With your help, we can make it the best year yet!
