I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and getting ready to celebrate the Fourth! June was a busy month with rooms getting emptied and cleaned for the Dual Language Academy to move in today. It’s so exciting to see all of the planning finally taking shape. For the past three weeks, DLA has hosted a jump start program for some of our younger students who are transferring into the program. It was great to see their enthusiasm. I’m pleased to announce that Ms. Marci Blum is retuning to the SJA staff so our library will be running smoothly.. She will be working with SJA students on Wednesdays. Ms. Blum is also going to be working for the DLA and helping them out on Tuesdays. If you have the time, you may want to drop by the prayer garden on the west side of the school. Thanks to a generous donor, the area has been replanted. The school office is closed during July. Feel free to leave a message on the school line if you have any questions as Mrs. Vorland and I will be checking in on a weekly basis.
I’m sure many of you have questions regarding what procedures we will be following next year in regards to Covid. I think we are all hoping that some of the protocols we followed last year can be eased. I am attaching the most recent letter from the Archdiocese regarding schools. No final decisions have been made as to restrictions for next year, but I will communicate those when they are made available in early August. Have a safe summer.
