Extended Care Assistant Needed for 2020/2021 School Year

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

-Assist with the implementation of the daily program
-Interact with and engage students in positive, age-appropriate activities
-Reinforce all Program and Safety Rules, Policies, and Procedures in compliance with Program Standards -Responsible for student accountability
-Prepare and serve snacks
-Maintain workplace cleanliness
-Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
SKILLS:
-High energy and enthusiasm
-Flexible and able to adapt to fast-paced environment
-Detail oriented
-Strong communication skills

Education and Experience
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-Must have 2 years (1500 hours) of experience working with children
      (Teacher, Substitute Teacher, Certified Day Care Center, Camp Counselor, Para or volunteer in school working directly with
      students, Scout Leader/Assistant Leader, Religious Education Teacher/Assistant Teacher, etc.)
-Paid training required (Safe Environment Certification, 6 clock hours per year of training, to include
      but not limited to CPR/First Aid/AED and Safe With You Workshop)

Hours:

• School Days starting at 3:00 pm
• Approximately 20 hours per week
• Starting rate $12.50 per hour
